More info:

Scene from Big Trouble in Little China (1986). A large red-lit chamber. In the centre, a large sculpture of a skull with large teeth (its edges defined by green neon), from the mouth of which emerges a staircase on which stands a man in Qing-era clothing. On the left wall, the Chinese character for "sun": 日. On the right wall, the Chinese character for "fire": 火.

Escape From New York? Another of my faves.

Loved BTILC for decades, in my list of action-comedy-horror favourites.

Yup! Showed that one to my 15 year old at the start of October and he loved it too. He liked Big Trouble, but was a little confused by it, but it was a few years ago and he's probably better equipped for it now. I can just about always rewatch either.
