Constant updating problems with Slowroll (feddit.uk)

I keep having problems updating Slowroll, the problems where it has dependencies that can’t be satisfied and you get the “Problem 1: nothing provides yadda yadda” and you have to answer each problem individually. AI says this is a problem with the way that Slowroll delivers updates but I’ve been getting it a lot lately and I figure it must be happening to everyone because I don’t have any weird update settings. A lot of them seem to involve codec updates, the current one is all about ffmpeg-8-mini.

is there a proper solution for this?

I'm guessing this might be a conflict with packman repos. Maybe look into removing packman as a repository, if you have it enabled? I'm pretty sure I read packman might be shutting down anyway.

    Makes sense but Packman’s for proprietary media codecs and stuff right? What’s the alternative? I want those codecs. Is there a way of getting it to never try to overtake what’s available on the official repos?
