BONUS #3: Star Trek Continues, episode 2 "Lolani"
Written by Huston Huddleston & Vic Mignogna, directed by Chris White
Stardate 6154.1 (sometime in 2269)
"We are free to do whatever we like." - Lolani
The Enterprise responds to a distress call from a Tellarite ship, only to find the entire crew dead and a single surviving passenger - an Orion slave girl. When she is brought aboard she threatens the crew with a knife and attempts to hide. When she is subdued and brought to sickbay, it quickly becomes clear that she murdered the Tellarites who were transporting her. At first, she refuses to talk to anyone except Councilor McKennah. But once she opens up, she explains the cruelty she was subjected to and her desire to seek asylum with the Federation. However, Starfleet Command refuses her request for protection and orders Kirk to surrender to Lolani back to her previous owner who will rendezvous with the Enterprise in a matter of hours.
