    Just make whatever random claim about those that oppose you, state it as fact, deliver absolutely zero evidence, and there will be a significant amount of people that will believe it.

    He's not preaching to you, he is preaching to the choir, his supporters, hoping they will do the dirty work for him

    basically. It's the idea of truth by consensus. Oh, we can get more people to agree that the "facts" are what we say they are? We can then behave as if they are, even if they are completely false. Who is going to stop us?

    Until some practical problem ruins everything.
