Hah! I switched to Startpage for search because of AI search results being garbage, I am sure as shit not paying for it.
If I pay for any search at all, it'd be Kagi, not Google, which has turned itself into a slop fueled dumpster fire not just in search but with their phones too.
I used to use Assistant all the time, but they killed it and tried to replace it with Gemini, which is fucking terrible at things the assistant was great at, like setting timers, navigating hands free, and setting reminders. It's so shitty I'm about to install Graphene or jump ship entirely to either iOS or just a dumb phone.
So far, the greatest driving force in me getting rid of all Google products is Google itself.
