I just swapped a brushless DC 12V fan on my LG RC185 VCR. Please excuse the abomination that is the MacGyvered contacts. Forgot to order new these: btf6s5fjda072uG.jpg
So that's my excuse. Anyway...

Is it okay to let the cord lean/rest against capacitors and whatnot?

Also, hard to tell from the picture, but the heatsunk parts must get hot and are pretty close…
