Are they healthy? Picture shows nothing. Where are you? Cold winters? Are they exposed or are there more trees close by? Maple is a hardwood, and healthy maples don't "go down easily", but some species like to drop limbs if they freeze at the wrong time. From the again, hardly useable picture, I would say most of the growth is upright and you don't have much to worry about.
