For the people who jumped on it in 2018, sure, as long as they didn't hold it in any of the failed exchanges, didn't buy anything but BTC or ETH unless they were the rug pullers instead of the honest folks, and as long as you don't think too much about how that curve is supported by sanction evasion.

Curious how something so heavily marketed by cryptobros as a modern currency alternative to big banking is almost always only being talked about as an object of investment. As if it is really nothing but yet another speculative scheme for people who are the rich to get richer.

It's not a decentralised currency though is it.

And stable coins are just another way for the US to issue debt

    Whoops, you're wrong.

Besides being a payment method, border-free currency, commerce security, staking and lending asset, organizational governance token and other uses, crypto is also "just" a valuable asset.

Thank you for not understanding and shying away from a valuable asset thereby allowing others to have more of it.

Give away your gold and index funds, folks, deHaga thinks they're worthless "speculative assets"!

Not sure why this is so tricky for you: many cryptocurrencies are primarily currencies.

Maybe "money" is easier for you(fewer syllables):

More governments and businesses accept money every week. People buy houses, cars, clothes and other goods with money. They lend and borrow money, stake(invest) and enjoy high-yield returns with their money.

You are afraid of money. Great. Doesn't make money less valuable.

No, you're wrong again, money is still used to purchase goods.

When you go to the store to buy hour "nuggies"? That's money you're using.

It has value as long as people believe in it. It has zero use as a currency. It's regulated as a digital asset

Call me crazy but I buy trading cards to actually play the trading card games. All these failed crypto bros pivoting to TCGs as 'investments" are making it miserable to actually play and enjoy the game.

Scalpers and speculative investors are a huge problem in the space right now. They're cleaning out stock faster than stores can stock it and reselling at over a 10x markup. Check out some of the stories with recent releases.

.... right. They did not make money on Bitcoin or get scammed by a different cryptocurrency....

We can check with them if they got scammed by a Nigerian prince while we're at it. If you think you're making some sort of point.

Maybe we should check if they got scammed because their computer had a bunch of viruses.

Or if they were selling something online and the buyer sent them a confirmation code.

There are lots of things they didn't do.
