Because I'm an Ubuntu noob, I've been unable to get any docker app working that requires any variety of database. Immich being one of them.

    Are you using Ubuntu snaps? I’m guessing you probably are.

    I'm pretty sure I avoided getting the snap version, I remember reading that that part wasn't what I wanted, and docker isn't in my snap list.

    I think it's a permissions issue. It doesn't seem to care if I pass it in my puid/guid. Or change permissions on the folder it created
