No innocent person has ever not wanted to go to court, due to the fear of miscarriage of justice or the perception of people like Knock_knock_Lemmy_in.

Also the fear of being found guilty.

An innocent person in a civil case wants to clear their name.

An out of court settlement cannot be claimed as a not guilty verdict.

    That's pig logic.

Innocent people get found guilty all the time, and even if you're not, a long trial is expensive and never going to convince haters he's innocent.

Rich guilty people pay off their accusers all the time.

A long trial is expensive, but it's certainly less than the $50m (in today's money) that MJ paid out.

We don't know what he was guilty of, but he sure ain't innocent.
