I actually think of this often, if more and more people self host and go to Linux etc the big bois are gonna crack down and make it illegal, or infiltrate distros and repos with bad actors.

2035 bingo card: Linux and a nas makes you a terrorist. In America, this will surely happen.

    Yeah the freedom to vote with your wallet in a capitalist market is just an illusion. You have no choice but to do what they say and I don't think we can self-host and open-source our way out of it. Needs systemic change.
