Almacca comments on Google age verification

Google age verification (aussie.zone)

submitted 6 months ago by Gorgritch_umie_killa@aussie.zone to c/meta@aussie.zone

Has anybody received this notification this morning?

I assume its from Dessalines or Nutomic, since it came alongside the update.

Here are two of the links:

So, what does this mean for aussie.zone?

Does this mean we all need to get a Fairphone with e/os, or another non-android handset? What are the options for that?

Does this mean aussie.zone will break with the lemmy developers and become more independent? A kind of forced Fork?

Just wanting to get peoples opinions.

Is it? It didn't seem that way on my initial scan. I'll have another look.

Edit: Whaddaya know? It is! It's also way more customisable than Jerboa. I think I'll give it more of a go.
