Hey, i have seen videos in my feed from people I follow but I am not able to upload myself, why? There is not even a option? anyone know why?

Is it a limitation on my instance?

I just use the web version as a Firefox-powered PWA.

I think the third party app Pixelix allows you to directly upload videos too

e: bear in mind each individual file has a 15 MiB file size upload limit, so you may need a means to compress short videos ahead of time

    Okay that solved it, Pixelfed native app could not upload videos but Pixelix did it, thanks!

    to be clear, the website also allows you to upload videos and gifs within the file limit if you'd rather use your desktop. This is at least the case for pixelfed.social, I'm not sure if other instances have their own rules / capabilities

    I think it may now be possible to upload a combination of stills and animated content into a single post, but I'll need to check that properly.
