There’s an immense difference between a conscripted person dying in a war versus a volunteer soldier dying in an aggressive war of choice. You’re arguing for sympathy for the modern equivalent of the fucking SS on their way to roll through Eastern Europe

    Really then?

    Why don't we check in with the dead Afghani and Iraqi civilians killed before and during US occupation?

    Why don't we check in with Serbia, still dealing with depleted uranium from US weapons?

    Why don't we check in with Vietnam, still dealing with Agent Orange and other fallout in the aftermath of their liberation after all this time?

    How about over in Korea, where the US dropped more bombs there than during WW2?

    Why don't we see how things have fared in The Philippines after the US placed them under new management after seizing them from Spain in a war of aggression?

    There are plenty more examples in the gaps between and further back in time. The only ghoul here is you.

    The US military takes enlistees at 17 and a half years old. Usually from poor families.

    Unironically? Some of those were kids, back then. The photos make them look a lot older because they were tied, hungry, dehydrated, and filthy. Kids were lying about their age far more successfully then than now.

    But you're just proving my point: you like seeing dead kids fighting for old men. As long as they're the right dead kids for your political compas.

    Lol okay, so at this point you'd rather try to rehabilitate nazis (i specifically searched for pictures of the SS during Operation Barbarossa, so these are committed ideological nazis in the middle of a genocide of 21 million people) than accept the victims of the US empire as being fully human and deserving of the right to kill in self defense.

    This is a level of fascist apologia masquerading as enlightened pacifism I have hitherto never witnessed before, and you yourself are a worm of titanic proportions.

    At this point you should monetize it and start writing op-eds for the NYT about how it's wrong to celebrate when IDF soldiers get got, you're already doing it for free for the Waffen SS.

    You are willfully ignorant to the fact every crime, atrocity, and act of aggression was willingly committed and/or abetted by soldiers who enlisted on their own free will. This is what you support. It's not a hard concept.

    The rest of the world isn’t in a state of perpetual war. The rest of the world isn’t toppling governments to install subservient leaders. The rest of the world doesn’t have 800+ military bases around the world. That’s just the US and NATO. They are the imperial core and they operate differently from the countries that are anti imperialist or being imperialized. Hope that helps
