I read a ton of Stephen King as a kid and I think my kid will be into it, but I'm not sure which book would be a good entry point. He has so many different types of story from weird to horror to mind bending. What would you use as a good entry for his horror? For an 11 year old.

Update... Thank you so much everyone! This thread is making me want to reread the books myself too ๐Ÿ˜„

Pet Semetary, Thinner, Needful Things ....all good ones I read around that age.

Pet Semetary was my first King and first horror novel. I didn't sleep with the lights out for 2 weeks behind that shit. 40 years later and I'm still creeped the fuck out on rereads.

I'm gonna recommend against Pet Semetary for a kid. It was my first King book when I was 11 or 12, and I had to put it down. It was so disturbing and not fully comprehensible for me at the time. Not only did I not like it, but I couldn't finish it.
