Only issue is that a phone that old isn't getting software and security updates.
I love my S9 but have to upgrade to a new phone bc of this.
OK this phone has other issues too but that is the primary problem.

No, thanks to AirTag, and no, thanks to this tracker, too.
Wildly expensive still. It's hard to justify spending north of $1.5k on a phone when my 6 year old Samsung one works fine.
And yet here we are in Feburary 2026 with no HyperOS 3 on the miband 9 pro 🙄 Xiaomi is a mess
The catch? The screen will get everyone using the term "phablet" again.
The power bank used was magnetic. Still, xiaomi 17 lasted more in this scenario against a phone which had small external backup.
Not that you should not take this seriously since it was tested by xiaomi who has every incentive to show their phones in the good light.
Whenever I read a post about phones with extremely large battery , I wonder how it will perform after 2 or 3 years of usage... like of course it will be worse compared to before, but to what extent? will it be reasonable considering the large size of the battery, or bad to the extent the optimal place for the battery is in the trash?
Thanks for making me laugh
Samsung already tried exploding batteries and it didn't go over so well

I am from Eastern Europe and 4pda is relatively well known (and trusted) source for Android ROMs. I believe they've been around even before Android; might have started with those HTC WinCE 6.x PDAs with SIM cards in the mid 2000s.
You want the second spoiler dropdown and you will get to ROMs for Europe/Global/India etc.
That being said, I don't have this device and I haven't personally tested any of the ROMs on that page.
I found this linked on a Redmi A3 Telegram group - https://t.me/RedmiA3Chat
And, they're bragging about this? Deep integration with a corporate ecosystem is not a good thing. Consumers are pushing back against this now.
