Cryptomorph has a couple very solid bangers.

Oops, I'll rescind the Divinity Triumphant mention. I'd checked them out based on an older track outside of this EP, and the sound was much more relevant to this group than the new EP...

I understand where the critics are coming from, this isn't making it on to my purely hypothetical top 5 albums of the year list, but I enjoyed it well enough. It just lacks that certain "wow" factor ultimately.

Ah that’s great to hear!! I haven’t listened yet, but I was disheartened by the “meh” (or “unwelcome departure, noty”) response I’ve read so far, so glad that’s not everyone’s take

That Apogean record has been a blast, the riffs on Nassaru and White Trees are just disgusting. Love it.

They should be playing MD Deathfest

Belated addition: Infestuous - Unfathomable Mutagenic Abominations [EP] (USA-OH) (brutal tech)

Also, not tech, but OGs Immolation have a new one out today too! Huzzah!

Québécois picard approves

New Québécois TDM? I know what I'm checking out today

"Metamorphosis" is brutal, great production
