Testing how a trade offer could look on Lemmy

Sopuli.xyz would be https://secure.hf25u.link/ad_EM0NxO_phishing_test.mp4 as a creepy link.

Hyvää joulua! Merry Christmas!

I see at least a passing resembalance besides the hair

Where in Life have you been playing Chess and checkmated an adversary as of late?

My fave was the nobel sword or something from the Oracle Zelda games which could shoot a really satisfying beam of light to damage enemies from further away

Reminded me of mini Hyper Beams from Pokemon except you didnt have to recover or charge

Also love the triple Lyonel bow from BOTW. That thing fucking slappz and is also the only way in hell i can beat a lyonel

Avoid partners or love interests if you can, focus purely on non-pheremonal smell sense

I hate that Mario Galaxy storybook theme, gets me every time and I have zero idea why

I adore Jesus 'n Pals from South Park

Psycho Dad from Married With Children

Please defederate from lemmy.ml their Marxist communist imperialist propaganda is evil.

The actual pen?

I couldn't get an image to load (likely because the bot blocker is preventing other instances from fetching them) so I clicked on one and got an anubis error. Your home page also doesn't load.

edit: This looks like a poorly communicated VPN related IP block. This is still breaking image federation though

I tried to join a hexbear community (!music@hexbear.net) and found I couldn't access it via my Sopuli account. I gotta be honest, I don't keep up with all the Lemmy/federation drama, but can anyone give me a quick summary of why we aren't federating with hexbear?

There's a lot of small kindnesses that we all recieve in our lives, especially as kids, perhaps. But I want to hear of those that you remember.

I was inspired to write this post by something that happened a few years ago. My old cat had stopped eating (for the second time) and he was clearly not well. He was about 17 years old and I took tim to the animal hospital.

The vetrinarian, a woman about my age (28 or so) told me that an examination and potential treatment wasn't going to be the right thing to to. She stayed with me for a long while as they were preparing to put him to sleep. I started crying and she stayed with me and told me how cats will have to face the end one way or another, and that I was doing the right thing. She comforted me through the whole thing. I don't even remember her name, but she was one of the kindest people I'd ever met.

Please share how people have been kind to you

Vladimir Kramnik's way of narration is incredible and his way of thinking and living is so amazing.

It is not the same without Charlie Munger, my guru!

His quips will be missed!

It takes like 20-40 seconds to load the homepage, up to a minute to send a comment (still takes a couple of attempts) and the inbox in sync just seemingly never ends up loading

When I tried to attach a jpg image to this post:

https://sopuli.xyz/post/6943637

I got:

SyntaxError: JSON.parse: unexpected character at line 1 column 1 of the JSON data

These are the image details:

$ identify image.jpg

I guess Sopuli.xyz does not have the same infrastructure as the other fes universes. Found it ever so common for it to be down a lot. Switched sides.

cross-posted from: https://lemmy.world/post/1378961

Had a realization with the cross-posting feature, so I'm giving it a try.

This isn't my community, nor even my home instance, and the fun idea is if this pans out as I think it should, small communities can get some attention, and each community/instance cross-posted to in turn gets some attention!

I noted that there are 39 lemmy instances hosted in 🇫🇮, as reported by the federation info so I thought to collect them all here. An surprise to me was that the biggest of them all lemmy.world is also on some 🇫🇮 hosted service.
