Not exactly shopping for new camera, but when replacing my old camera the new one was better in every specification, but it just didn't feel as intuitive as the (nominally worse) older camera. The older one had everything through buttons and dials, the newer one involved some degree of touchscreen, and fiddling with non-physical on-screen buttons felt like it broke my concentration on the subject. I found myself going back to the old camera even though it was worse in low light etc because the physical button-and-dial interface was just quicker and easier.

@ewenbellNot that I don't appreciate all the other aspects of these photos, but it just striked me how many strong compositions I saw in a short time. It reflects a true mastery. It's so hard to find such a balanced scene. Also your videos made me think a little of maybe searching for some new tool after years. Refreshing my interest in photography maybe. Although I know how much a pain will be the search. I've got this inconvenient need to search all the informations before I decide 😅

I'm pretty happy with RawTherapee so far, but Darktable is also a good option. Although I'm just a hobbyist which probably skews my opinion, where you're a pro in this field.

Impressive little lens. At that price I could be tempted to replace my ageing 50 mm f/1.8 Nikkor in F-mount on my Z6II, just to have something a bit more compact than the 50 mmm + FTZ converter. One small niggle - I would really have liked to see a couple of images in color in order to see whatever chromatic aberrations the lens suffers from wide open. Ah well. When you have a monochromatic phase, you have a monochromatic phase - that is what it is. :)

I shoot wide open (when possible) because I believe that's when the lens are "full". That's when the optics are fully engaged, light across all available surface of the glass. Colors saturation at highest. Sharpness is a different characteristic, perhaps a less natural one to glass.

PewDiePie, a name many on YouTube will be familiar with, moved to Linux and gimp, not because the are better, but because they are good enough and he became increasingly frustrated to have to see advertisement on an operating system he paid for. Having to pay an unsubscribe fee when leaving Adobe also seemed to not have been sitting well with him.
