I was reminded of the #IteratedPrisonersDilemma

"For cooperation to emerge between rational players, the number of rounds must be unknown or infinite. In that case, "always defect" may no longer be a dominant strategy. As shown by Robert Aumann in a 1959 paper"

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Code_of_Ur-Nammu

"The Code of Ur-Nammu is the oldest known law code surviving today. It is from Mesopotamia and is written on tablets, in the Sumerian language c. 2100–2050 BCE. It contains strong statements of royal power like "I eliminated enmity, violence, and cries for justice.""

"It’s time for the GOP’s periodic game of “teachers are communist groomers indoctrinating our children to be godless anti-American transsexuals and we should arm them.”"

"They want the Starship Troopers world where the teachers are all military trained and loyal party members."

You take the blue matrix... the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red matrix... you stay in Wonderland, and I show you how deep the LinearAlgebra goes.

When the topic comes up I like to point out Heinlein was writing StrangerInAStrangeLand , a book some called "The Hippie Bible", at the SAME TIME he was writing Starship Troopers.
