Apologies? Should I tell you go fudge yourself, too?

It's sorrowful... that nowadays effort, experience, and finite precious time of people invested in participation and contribution is devalued, obliterated, voided so easily... by those who do not even care...

No, I have not used LLM/"AI" for any of my words, and it's you who act like it @kibblebits@quokk.au , where you could just invest a minute, open my profile, and consider yourself, prior ridiculing and obliterating my words. Yet, no, you just acted like an indifferent bad-mannered moron.

I hope you will never encounter nor meet anyone like yourself, who would not care less about you, your life, your life experience, effort, and you being alive trying to stay accountable and supportive whenever you can and have some time to invest into a casual discussion in-between work/jobs/duties. And in response, you receive one: 1. downvote; 2. "beep boop".

I regret knowing you, and I regret participating in this discussion.
I am not investing my life time and my own life experience shared just to be ridiculed by people like you, and no response by the OP even.

    // Edit

No. Indeed. Go f-fudge yourself, you f-fudging moron. Get blocked.

When it comes to monitor arms I have only ever bought the absolute cheapest one I could find that reasonably supported my display and I’ve never had an issue

I’m sure there are bad ones but they’re fairly simple devices

    Wonderful day!

It's indeed a charm to have a few of workspaces with monitors in portrait standing, especially for source code or chats/socials!

There's a few at works I have at certain places and some in apartments, and if you are searching for a few, I would recommend Humanscale (e.g. M8.1) I trust, and the most of Ergotron, which should be available and are both steady enough that I haven't even had to re-tighten them since the first time I conveniently positioned/mounted them at places, years ago!

Fucking try it out. Or design a simulation that you can use VR in, so that you can fucking try it out!

You won't really know until you try it, so fucking try it already. Then adjust it. Eyes at top of screen!? Wha?

"NO! I must run my life by internet comittee!"

I had a 65" touch screen on loan from work for a few months and I had a floor setup because it didn't have legs. It leaned against my TV stand and I'd work on my laptop on the coffee table. And because it was half covering my TV, it became my TV.

Felt really cool for awhile but in the long run, I advise against it. It looks and feels in the way. You can't put your feet up and you get a sore back from slouching.

Put it 2ft from the ground and I think you'll be happy

Your posture on a sofa will be different than sitting on an office chair, so the tv should be off the ground a little, maybe a foot or two.

I sit in a recliner and use my tv as a second monitor. It’s on a 20” high stand and it works great for me.
