Aaaaand, that's why I've always hated cOmPeTiTivE crap. It's just a bunch of losers using the same builds they found on the internet because they saw a random mfer do it in a tournament and win, meanwhile I'm like b!tch just use your brain and build a deck that makes sense to you, but since everybody wants to be on top of the mEtA that rarely happens.

The problem with Mega Lucario ex deck is that it doesn't place well in tournaments, it's not even top 10, and local players — being the uncreative idiots that they are — mostly play whichever decks are in the top 3 right now, which make most matches way too tough for me. But I think that's a good thing, since it forces me to find a way counter those top decks with whatever little resources I have.

@dansup oh my god you never played the original :O this game is with no doubt the best game ever created!!! The pace the joy the seriousness the diffrent land scapes the size the exploration the guidance the freedom. It just beautifull. And i hope i can also enjoy the remake some day :D

I've been practicing in the Pokémon TCG Live app thingy and have gotten decent at using this deck, but I still don't like how mechanically poor this TCG is. It feels like all you do is activate a card's ability, look for a card in your deck, and shuffling, rinse and repeat 4 or 5 times per turn and your good to go. Like, really, brother?Anyway, will try to go to a couple tournaments this weekend if my fever goes down and I feel like giving a fuck about anything.

I really thought I wouldn't live to see the day I gave a fuck about the Pokémon TCG. I was raised on #YuGiOh, damn it! But one of my homies from my home town reached out to me and wouldn't shut up about the Pokémon TCG; so I said alright, I'll play but shut up already, LOL.I honestly thought of getting back into Yu-Gi-Oh before, or maybe Magic The Gathering, but Yu-Gi-Oh has gotten so complex, and Magic seems like some medieval fantasy shit I wouldn't really enjoy. So, here goes nothing.

@FediGarden @Siphonay Looks like they are no longer accepting new registrations. I play pokemon every day and I was looking for a home since the forkiverse is closing. mastodon.social is too big and impersonal, so hopefully this is only temporary.

@flwwhtrbt I’ve seen a ton of the same sort of thing in the vectrex and other retro gaming communities lately, too. Thiughtfully and deliberately vibe coding an app for fun is fine, but so many things are just throwaway projects with little care and no consideration of support over time, and it just adds so much noise to the scene.
