Late to the party but I'm 30 years old and my memories of that day have gotten noticeably more fuzzy lately. I remember there was no announcement over the loudspeaker. No cell phones so the principal had to be going down a list calling every teacher. But I remember the feeling in the air before she turned on the CRT mounted above and to the left of the classroom door. It was like a hollow version of the anvil in your stomach feeling. She told us that we are all going to remember this day for the rest of out lives and let the news play and sat down. I didn't understand what I was seeing, there are terrible things on TV every day, but I did know this was DIFFERENT. My dad came and picked me up from school that morning.

    Just got a degoogled CalyxOS phone but can I leave the bootloader unlocked? (lemmy.zip)
     

    I got this Moto g84 with CalyxOS from ebay but had to update it to the 7.2.2.0 release. Now the thing is, the seller specifically said if I relock the bootloader the phone will be bricked. I used the web installer for the g84 model and left it unlocked, but that g84 installer says its safe and a different part of the CalyxOS site also says don't relock any Motorola phones. Do any of you guys know more about this or what the consequences of leaving it unlocked could be?

    solved! I got in contact with the Calyx folks over on matrix and they gave me reassurance it could be relocked safely. I am currently setting everything back up after the wipe :D

    Years ago when my Nana passed I was heavily into meth and I smoked at her wake. I did not speak of her life or impact on me there and my silent Papa cried in my arms that day. She was a potter, a sculptor, and she supported me in every way she might. That night I tried to remember her not with my absent memories but by putting everything I had into this painting. I miss you Nana

    I found a reverse engineering project on github for the st3 pro which needs 1% of the permissions but works just fine. https://github.com/pepperonas/navee-st3-pro

    So I recently got a gt5 max and after setting her up with the app I actually read the privacy policy and saw it straight up states it will track your location and share it with LAW ENFORCEMENT without even a warrent. In addition to this I use a app from fdroid to lock down internet access to some apps like Finch but it would not work on the Navee app. In the privacy policy it says something to the effect of we will REROUTE THE INTERNET as needed if access is blocked. Nuh uh. Not doing that. That sure is some forsight tho...

    If anyone has more info can you please share?
