A state government relying on a private credit bureau -- one famed for being wrong all the time and leaking data like a sieve -- to keep track of who can vote is... Honestly not nearly surprising as it should be.
Are all the people here recommending Bookwyrm and NeoDB actually using them?
I just spent a solid chunk of time importing and correcting various accounts to NeoDB and Bookwyrm and they are both petty frustrating to use, especially with how much content is missing, mislabeled, or duplicated. Plus, they don't seem to federate with each other (understandable, in so far as very few parts of the Fediverse actually federate well together [unlike, perhaps, Mastodon and mbin]) or even support exporting/importing data from each other.

Editors sleeping on the job, smh.
Still have no idea what this show is supposed to be, but I'm enjoying the ride.
Wake me up when courts start holding Trump officials in contempt.
Still very mixed on the show. I expected the powerpoint animation (and honestly, combat animation isn't something I particularly care about), but I really hated the tactical aspect of the episode too. 'Tactics' being synonymous with arranging characters like chess pieces and being a 'brilliant tactician' for being able to calmly yell out long streams of names and specific instructions is one of my biggest pet peeves in anime. Legends of the Galactic Heroes is maybe the only show I've seen it done particularly well.
But I still like the characters, and I'm still intrigued (I think) by the plot, especially with how it's still obviously dancing around some important reveals.
Even gift articles require an email now?
Something about the tropes are grandfathered into my brain. If a new romcom came out with a similar vibe I probably wouldn't have bothered, but wrapping it in nostalgia hacks my brain.
Still can't believe how hard MAPPA is going animating this. Were the cookies good though?
Whenever I see a post with those markdown headers (that's what those are, right?) I kinda just assume it's slop.
Hey Guardian, the system that empowers 'private entities' and rewards 'cashing in' has a name.
The main reason I picked .zip was the lack of defederation. There's definitely content here I don't want to see and do hide, but I'm suprised how many people here (Lemmings? Piefeddies?) are happy to delegate that task to an instance admin.
It's my role to determine what content I see, no one else's.
