I know but I expect my mastodon server to be transparent, without dark practices. If worst case came to be, they are trying to manipulate people by injecting posts, and this is a deal breaker for me.

I saw this account twice which actually contains political messages. I'm used to weird posts of people who use hashtags or get boosted, but I wanted to ask just in case because despite knowing that I can mute or block them I find worrying the possibility of being shown political messages that I don't want to see.
Or is it my fault? I don't follow it, nor I see hashtags nor that it got boosted nor image alt.
    My account is on mastodon.social.

Blender Extensions Platform update: the system will soon be expanded to support asset libraries as well.

    TLDR:

    • Public Domain (CC0) assets only
    • Assets will be hosted on Blender’s servers
    • To share your asset libraries with the whole world, you need to fill out a submission request

Asset Library Submission Request form link: https://devtalk.blender.org/t/asset-libraries-extensions-platform/45779

Where do we want Blender's development to focus over the next two years?

Read Small Teams, Ambitious Projects article by Dalai Felinto.

    Summary of strategic targets:

    • Dynamic Overrides
    • Animation tools
    • A more complete rigging system and UI tools
    • VSE Story tools: Board to Previs
    • Collaborative asset creation in teams

    Potential goals:

    • Blender adoption by game studios
    • Blender adoption in large scale animation and VFX
    • Blender in mechanical industry

Gaussian splatting rendering technique landed in Blender main branch after many months of hard work as of 2026/09/17
It is not guaranteed to be in 5.3, since the code is still work in progress and things may change after public scrutiny and found bugs, but it looks promising and on track, if things go well to be in 5.3

This makes rendering spatial point cloud data better, since the splats make the points look more solid and continuous.

It currently works for PLY and SPZ file formats.

Given that the blender studio uses mostly development versions, I believe there may be a connection with the 5.3 new Light accumulation node.
I saw Cartesian Caramel use it to make shadows that adjusted to a voronoi pattern

In this devtalk thread, Blender dev pragma37 requests feedback from NPR artists about a new lights and lighting experimental feature (targeting 5.3).

The way to help is to download the experimental build mentioned in the thread and play with it, if you have your own style or a style pipeline at work, test it and provide feedback in the thread. What's missing, what would be improved and what blocks you from achieving your desired result.

More info in the devtalk thread link provided and its associated example blend file.

    Exactly my thoughts.
I checked the spectral Cycles branch devtalk thread and it seems to be pretty much dead, and this patch looks like the final nail in the coffin.
I hope the work and effort of the community contributed in any way to this, I believe the branch ended in a point where there were too many issues too hard to deal with.

Some more good news is that according to someone who knows more than me presumably (u/Eary in the devtalk forum), I quote:

we can avoid the previous community branch attempt’s complication around E white point and D65 white point CAT adaptation, and we also make the architeture more physically meaningful in a way that the light spectrums can be real known ones with filter, instead of completely arbitrarily uplifted from RGB. [...] This is actually quite elegant

Though they also mention that this implementation has its drawbacks in some specific edge cases and assumptions taken (hardcoded stuff), which would need multiple presets to handle all of them.

In the official devtalk forum, core developer Jeoren Bakker asked Android users to support Blender's Android port with a playstore app (no Fdroid that I found) named 'Vulkan Caps Viewer'.

I believe Lemmy to be specially of interest due to the possibly higher percentage of more niche phones.

    How to:

    1. Install the app
    2. Check the top to find a green text 'Device already present in database'
    3. If it says so, there's nothing to be done, you can uninstall the app. No need for you to do steps 4, 5 nor 6
    4. Otherwise, I believe it is needed for you to upload the GPU compatibility with the top leftmost button (I did not have the option so I'm not sure) (also I see people also sharing a link to their specs, so not sure)
    5. Then, after that sign up / log in to the devtalk forum and publish a comment stating your phone brand and model, and if given, the link with the info
    6. Then you can uninstall the app

More info in the official link provided.

If I got any of the steps wrong, please do correct me.

Honestly? It looks like you're on the right path, based on what I see.
I'd keep focusing on the CC and progress through, since that'll open up even more stuff, which is more possibilities.
Other than that, on a general note, I'd suggest if at some point you want to tidy up and have all machines in one place, to build a Shed.
On the decoration stuff, my SO likes to follow other people's designs, and they have really beautiful farms.
For money, most stuff will take some effort to get a lot of money, though for what I see, other comments already mention that. You can improve all processes to make the most money, mining = desert, crops = greenhouse, fishing = fish smoker + fish knowledge, animals = more expensive animals.
Once you complete most of the game (getting perfection is hard), I'd also suggest you getting mods. They'll bring the parts of the game you like the most to a new level, as they are made with love from the community. You can get mod bundles or select them manually, but you'll find ease of life features and extended content. I always recommend automate for a 2nd playthrough.

I did not provide more details because of trying to hold off on spoilers

How do you like to play the game? The suggestions depend on that.
Do you find yourself min-maxxing proffits or mine levels? Or you like relaxing and going with vibes? Do you like decorating stuff to painting levels?
Also, what activity are you enjoying the most?
