If you are neutral towards baseball, it means you're fine with it as a sport, aka reinforcing its acceptance in society (I don't give a damn about it). If you are not fine with hare coursing existing as a "sport", you protest against it. Being neutral would reinforce its existence, if it's already being practiced.

Compared to pre-WW2 era, the work week and day has decreased from 12 hours/day, 6 days per week, thanks to the more militant labor movement.

In more recent decades, productivity has increased significantly, so we should be able to produce the same amount as before, with less labor: https://www.epi.org/productivity-pay-gap/

But I'll let you guess who is cashing in the extra profit from your work. Tip: it's not you.

    • USA in 2025: let's cut funding to state sponsored propaganda like Radio Free Europe (good riddance) **
    • USA in 2026: let's give funding to state sponsored propaganda

** Funny story: in Romania, Radio Free Europe, preachers of the free market for decades, shut down after they couldn't survive for 3 months on the free market without propaganda money from the American state. And in Czech Republic, the state bailed them out.

If this gets any adoption, it will work for about a week, after which scrapers will just detect the font, and do a reverse lookup of its mapping table.

Ironic that the repo of the font is also AI slop. If the author had asked any competent person how viable the solution is, instead of a sycophantic AI, they would have just gotten a laugh instead.

I would gladly use only one package manager, but different applications offer different types of downloads. Do this for 30 applications, and you will probably need 3-4 package managers or install methods that do not auto update. Example:

    • Firefox: ppa, because that has always been the fastest and most convenient
    • Krita: flatpak, since the others suck
    • Qbittorrent: only AppImage
    • Godot: native executable

News is from last year, but it's still dystopic for anyone that missed it:

At a European Commission press briefing in Brussels on 13 October, Nunziati asked the spokesperson Paula Pinho: “You’ve repeatedly said that Russia should pay for the reconstruction of Ukraine. Do you think Israel should also pay for the reconstruction of Gaza, given that it destroyed much of the Strip and its civilian infrastructure?”

on 27 October, the journalist received a letter terminating his working relationship with the news agency, which, however, did not specify the reasons for this decision.

The Agenzia Nova news agency told Fanpage.it that Nunziati’s question was “completely out of place and technically incorrect” and had created “embarrassment for the agency”

“We find that AI assistance improves immediate performance, but it comes at a heavy cognitive cost,” the study declares. Researchers went on to state that just ten minutes of using AI made people dependent on the technology, which led to worsening performance and burnout once the tools were removed.

The study followed people who use AI for "reasoning-intensive" cognitive labor. This refers to stuff like writing, coding and brainstorming new ideas, which are some of the most common use cases.

WASHINGTON (The Borowitz Report)—Confirming the suspicions of many in the international community, on Monday Donald J. Trump revealed that intelligence played “no role” in his decision to go to war with Iran.

“People keep asking me about intelligence,” he told reporters on Air Force One. “I made this call with no intelligence whatsoever.”

“Quite frankly, every decision I’ve ever made in my life I’ve made without intelligence,” he boasted. “Intelligence is for losers.”

Trump added that “I don’t trust people who have intelligence, which is why I love Pete.”
