Rice is still harvested manually in many parts of Asia, which is very labor intensive. They grow in warm and wet countries and make for an extremely pretty sight, especially in hilly areas. Length depends on the variety, somewhere between 50 cm and 2 m.

EU decision. All caps used in single use beverage containers (bottles etc). Around 100 billion bottles per year are used in the EU.

The goal is not reduce the carbon footprint, but to reduce litter (loose caps ending in the environment).

It is convenient if implemented well, and annoying if not.

How do you honestly answer such an open question though? Unless someone is very passionate about a particular film, it seems like a good compromise to just name something that fits in the context or allows for further conversation. Answering it correctly would require the person to memorize all candidates on the spot and rate them all objectively in the same personalized way.

1 bit audio dacs use a different architecture (delta/sigma) which had some benefits in the late '80s and in the '90s (lower cost and very linear frequency response). They are fine if implemented well

The only dacs that suck are the cost optimized dacs in bottom of the barrel cd players and portables.

No need to have this for most setups unless you are an enthusiast. Any A-brand CD player built after ~1985 has oversampling and 16-bit DACs. Sure modern DACs are better, but the audible difference is rather insignificant until used in a setup with high end speakers or headphones.

More accurately, there has never been a EU law that forced people to create cookie banners.

The EU law required websites to have the users' consent to use personal data and tracking. The law never even mentioned the word "banner" but this is what the industry chose as a solution.

Furthermore consent is not needed for functional cookies. So all websites that enforce cookie banners upon users do really use tracking/data sharing or their partners (such as Google Analytics) do.
