I think you underestimate the number of people who protest voted by refusing to vote at all, which is neither an actual protest vote nor the same type of problem. Not that I think it would have been a guaranteed tipping point, but it sure would have made things a bit closer. Compound that with one of the (designed) effects of the electoral college (devaluing voter turnout in high-population states), and you widen that gap much more.

"America will have the most lethal military" and other signalings in favor of status quo imperialism sure did kill any interest for many left wingers to vote, and anecdotally I know many of my left-proclaiming peers took that as reason to forego the polls altogether.

Apparently they are not made, but just "are". And their contents are not definite either, but rather they write themselves as needed when being observed? Basically a physical manifestation of fate, I guess. I've heard people argue that they are blueprints for existence that only manifest as scrolls so that physical beings can perceive them.

    In other words, spacetime macguffin.

I'm finally about to have some time to lock in on some video games. One of the things I wanted to start on was the Lies of P DLC, Overture. After months of occasionally putting in 10-20 minutes, I have an NG file at Chapter 9, right when Overture becomes accessible.

Should I do anything particular in preparation for Overture? Should I try to push the game to the end before starting the DLC, for balancing's sake? For reference, I have already completed the base game and all of its endings in NG and NG+.

Lastly, should I hoard any upgrade materials? I'm worried that I'm going to get excited to play the DLC and everything is going to literally one shot me, no exaggeration. No spoilers or combat advice please, just feedback on the above questions! Thanks!
