Well, 8 people upvoted what I wrote and 9 people downvoted, so that’s not nobody else agreeing. That’s some people agreeing and some not.

The obvious answer is simply that there are different cap designs for the new caps, and some are better than others with how close/tightly they hold the cap to the bottle.

It’s not really a me problem as I was describing other people having the issues not myself. Or not realising they’ve had an issue more accurately.

I have witnessed the cap try to go on slanted more frequently but I’ve noticed and re-done it, so not a huge deal for me personally.

The confusing thing to me is I thought differently coloured plastics were meant to be recycled separately, I used to take the caps off when putting things in the recycling.

Definitely caused way more problems than it solved.

Have found several carbonated drinks flat in our fridge as these caps are harder to put on straight.

Spoke to someone who’d leaked drink all over their backpack and liquid damaged their MacBook by a cap like this not screwing on properly.

    Probably Deadwood.

I like the complexity of the characters - nobody’s truly good, nobody’s truly bad.

I like the how some of the experiences in the show are so universal and some are so peculiar to that time and place.

    The performances are all incredible.

I was completely taken with it and still am.

We live in an insane era where many companies would want to be selecting employees who had a proven ability to learn and succeed without the aid of AI tools… before then forcing them to use AI for everything once hired

Three for me come to mind.

The first two are semi-related, in my mind at least.

Computerwelt and Remain In Light, both from 1981, set a standard for what music would become. They’re the future before the future had arrived - looping arrangements, repeating sounds, aiming for a very “assembled” type of music.

And yet, they’re captivating for me for being so far removed from what modern music has become at the same time. These albums aren’t assembled in a DAW, they’re entirely crafted in the analogue world, almost perfect but imperfect. They’re great albums from a songwriting perspective anyway, but I always wonder if the fact they spawn from this exact moment in time is what makes them so perfect for me.

The other is The Sophtware Slump by Grandaddy. This one is harder to explain, if you try to break it down it isn’t hugely experimental, influential, groundbreaking or even that popular in the wider sense. But something about it is so utterly of its time and timeless at the same time.

And, maybe it’s just the people I know, but I have friends and family who remember and cherish this album. You could play someone certain tracks and they might enjoy them, but something about putting all the tracks together and listening to the album just creates that classic special journey.

Interested in what other albums have special meaning for people, even if they’re not entirely sure why.

So the rules are pretty loose on this.

Basically if you could source certain items or media into a room together, things that were all particularly nostalgic to you - what would go in there?

It could have particular retro games consoles, loaded with particular games, plugged into the CRT TV you used to have in your bedroom.

It could have your old family PC loaded with MSN Messenger and Limewire, or access to old forums.

It could have certain albums on CD / cassette / vinyl played through your parents’ old hifi.

Maybe certain films you had taped on VHS and watched a million times, and the adverts you always remember in-between.

Perhaps certain meals, snacks, drinks laid out. Maybe ones you can’t buy anymore.

Certain items of furniture… certain wallpapers… certain aromas or perfumes… old toys…

Nothing is too old or too recent as long as it’s nostalgic for you personally. And things don’t have to all come from the same era, they can be mix and match.

What goes in your personal nostalgia room?
