There arent many that fully isolate itself and defederate with all other servers. Beehaw was of the earlier ones that approached the federation with strict moderation walls.
One steals ram you don't have, one steals ram you already own.
My problem with the machine for thr use of multimedia is that it wasnt really designed in mind for dense storage to host media, ao youre limited to streaming unless you got 8tb ssds layong around
Single player, sure, especially grindy jrpgs just to cut down on time to complete time
Multiplayer. Absolutely not
They do it to minimize having to send out maintainance for problems that can be fixed remotely, as theres a cost and time attached to said action.
Theres a company named Zinc in australia designing several of the novelty ones
The fact you can look at the mod logs is already something you cant even compare to when using reddit. Youd be suprised how far reddit mods will go.
The ban is also not worth as much as like i mentioned, communities are spread. There isnt always one version of a community of the same name, whereas clones of subreddits on reddit have an insignificant fraction of the traffic compared to a main one.
When a moderator comes in and starts to affect a lot of people, it can cause a mass exodus to a sister community. That doesnt happen really on reddit, because the people left on reddit are slow to change their habits (the fact that most dont use alternatives shows so). The people who use lemmy have generally had the mindset that if you need to switch, then they will do so.
The advantage lemmy has is that unlike reddit, you can easily make a community of the same name, just on a different server in the case of mod disagreements.
Its MUCH harder to powertrip on lemmy, both because the mod tools are ass, and spinning a new community isnt hard.
Didn't like tenforward have tHe Exodus drama with some mod?
5070ti and larger were "eol" but in reality their production was cut down soo much that their MSRP skyrocketed compared to the 5070, which would only skyrocket later as supply dried up.
Im not against it, but im not rushing out to get them or anything.
Inrack vs in/endrow just means where the cooling takes place on a server rack. One is directly one of the racks on the server (in rack) and row means on a seperate rack stack usually in between or at the end of a row of servers.
800G is just 800 gigabit networking cables (used for servers to communicate with one another at blistering fast speeds). Cat6 only does a max of 10gigabit
Using cat6 for your ai datacenter is like asking someone to use 480i rca cable for their 4k console
