They don't need to choose a platform. They have to be forced to put all public-facing communication onto their website without exception. From there, they or anyone else who wants to can copy it to any platform there is.

It's weird how some people expect users of a system that has what amounts to a "yes" and a "no" button to not use them as such.

Read → think "yes" → upvote

Read → think "no" → downvote

That's what the system incentivises at its base, so that's how it's going to be used.

Yeah I blocked that guy since one of his first posts. Everyone here going "oh no, you can't trust pangram"... Irrelevant. If you can't even spot the sloppiest slop that is his website collection and his comments (aside from some short replies to others), you're the problem.

    cross-posted from: https://piefed.social/c/jrpg@lemmy.zip/p/2313898/terranigma-announced-for-ps5-xbox-series-switch-2-ps4-switch-and-pc

Clear River Games, in cooperation with Square Enix, has announced Terranigma, a revival of the 1995 action RPG, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch 2…

Didn't think this would ever happen, but one of my favorite childhood games is coming back to modern consoles, and for the first time released in America.

Judging from the trailer, it seems to be a straight port with only the soundtrack touched up and some artwork extras. Which is a bit disappointing, as much as it's a genuinely great game, it had flaws even back then and the textures don't really hold up that well. I was hoping for more incentive not to simply emulate it.

Edit: Turns out the "touched up soundtrack" in the trailer was an unattributed fan work and the trailer has been taken down. Ugh, that feels scummy.

Until some time ago (a few weeks or so), I'm pretty sure I could still come across comments written by users I blocked. I know that because I started to tag the users because of that. Now I've noted that not only comments by blocked users are completely hidden from me, but the entire thread starting from them, including responses by other users, is invisible.

I'm not really sure if that's the intended behavior (and if it's piefed or my instance that does it).
