Blindly trusting anything as a security barrier is a bad idea. That being said, there is a growing view among security professionals that containers are not sufficient protection against malicious code because it can directly attack the host kernel. This is not a new problem which is why most, if not all commercial container hosts have always used virtual machines to isolate containers from their bare metal systems.

Like others, I have noticed a cluster of accounts that are clearly run by the same operator.

This group posts hyper-specific questions and usually, but not always, answers their own question in the post where they asked it.

I noticed that every so often a post with a different writing style shows up from a member of the cluster. One that seems more like a real person and less like an LLM. These usually do not answer their own question.

I've been puzzling over what the point of this could be for a while. Tonight I had an idea. Maybe the point is to hide the operator's actual person posts in with the noise of the LLM generated posts?

    It's very strange...

This community is dedicated to the investigation of "strange" account activity on the Fediverse. We are not investigating malicious actors. There are a lot of good people working hard on that. We are looking into accounts which fall into the uncanny valley. Accounts not marked as bots which act very bot-like with no obvious motive.
