Kinda funny to take the electorate behaving the way they've always behaved as evidence of something unprecedented happening.
I'm still kinda bitter about how everything after Bush was handled. The platform Obama ran, the margin he won with, the national attitude even! He could have started rolling back everything Bush, try to actually deliver change.
Maybe all the entrenched institutions would have been able to push back. But we'll never know, cus the admin never even tried.
I think a lot of people who know what a cassette is would be surprised by one that holds computer files.
That's fine, we have Bloodborne on linux now, so there isn't really much other use for it.
Nothing here really touches on utilities or infrastructure. I am actually currious, so I'll rephrase the question;
How does an anarchist polity handle utilities and infrastructure?
These are the big structural changes the labour party is contemplating.
oh hey my goverment does that too
That's the neat part, its selective pressure. Capitalists don't need to engineer an outcome (though they still can and do, occasionally). Each one merely acts on their own immediate self interest and collectively this has a tendency to move and shape society towards outcomes that further benefit them as a class.
If you sell your labor to make a living, you're not bourgeoisie. Big or little.
Sue me, I like comparing and contrasting consecutive administrations. Almost like there's historical insight to gain.
And while the inflation was a result of Trump's policies, it still peaked halfway through Biden's term. People blamed it on Biden. That's just the electorate acting like they always have done. And it really didn't the admin did a shit job of communicating - well, a lot, but - that they were trying to bring it down. Cost of living polled very high as a concern going into Nov 2024... as it is now.
I'm saying both administrations ignored economic pressure felt by the people they rule over, not that the situations are 100% the same.
Doing the same thing the Biden admin was doing for groceries, but for gas prices. How can the economy be bad, my investment portfolio is doing amazing! Ironically, the very same flub that gave him his second term in the first place.
