That era has a lot of great art, and expansions especially to side games sometimes aren't super well preserved online, so feel free to post that anywhere here or in !warhammer40k@lemmy.world

Thanks. My stint in Warhammer was mid to late 90's but my older cousin gave me his old sets from earlier. I think I might have that book. I'll have to have a look next time I'm in my mum's attic.
It was in the Space Hulk: Genestealer expansion from 1990.
This looks very family. Was this used in a book do we know?
In an alternate timeline, the Air Nomads fought back against the Fire Nation. This is their story.
Da Boïz un ty hous, innit ?
Sanguinius sees this and goes "yes, my sweet sons, let's go write poems together".
Good old Rogue Trader era texts on those Blood Angels :D
@setsneedtofeed The texts on the weapons and armours are something! 😅
Dude, classic Orks had such a cool aesthetic!
I love that the bright colours don't detract from them looking fearsome.
Cute!
Love the style. Really calls to mind the old Hannah Barbara cartoons.
Crush your enemies
See them driven before you
And hear the lamentation of their women
Absolutely.
But did you see his drip? That's what important.
That was the cover for the 6th Edition Orcs & Goblins armybook.
So metal. Like most artworks of that time.
I always wanted the seated Genestealer Patriarch model ever since it was first shown in White Dwarf. Alas, I was just a poor boy from a poor family and couldn't afford it.
Always thought it looked tons more compelling than the running patriarch, even despite the obvious weirdness of having a huge throne moving around the battlefield.
I donno, whenever I see his art it feels off. Like scale is funky or dwarf like. Like John Cena the full size toddler.
They are Dark Angels scouts. Chapter symbol on shoulderpad. Space Marine scout carapace armor with neck tubes. Scout armor armored gloves.
That is clearly Astra Militarum
Love this!
