Yep, the more we elect governments that don't address our current voting system the more elections we will have where Liberal or NDP voters are asking us to strategically vote instead of voting on our values.

1 in 9 for bank visits were by those 65+. Ok. With a little rounding, that's about 10% of the food bank visits. Approximately 20% of the BC population is over 65. Sounds like they need the food bank less than others, which tracks, as the Boomers are the wealthiest demographic in Canada. Also, 44% more Boomers live with unaffordable rents. Is that because they feel entitled to better accommodation than others and make choices that don't match their budgets? How are higher rents being imposed on then?

I recognise that there are seniors who are legitimately struggling, but I don't believe this subsection of the population collectively needs help.

Greens only have candidates in 34% of the ridings so less risk of vote splitting. You have to do your due research on the riding before voting. Obsolete first-past-the-post doesn’t let people vote with their heart, the system forces fear voting.

I’m going to miss chad Rob Botterell. He fought for proportional representation but sadly David Eby shut down electoral reform like Justin Trudeau.

"Right on top of" was my exact reaction to the image in this post lol.

We've got PiP on top of a vertical frame video on top a horizontal video player. All we need is someone's face reacting to it and it's perfect.

“If the new Oil and Gas Royalty Framework is implemented on 1 January 2027, British Columbians will lose out on nearly $3 billion that could be spent on social services we desperately need. For $3 billion we could restore all of the funding that the BC NDP cut from the Community Housing Fund in 2026, and still have $1.5 billion left for healthcare, transit, education, and affordability measures,” said Jeremy Valeriote, BC Greens MLA for West Vancouver – Sea to Sky.
